Das ist eine Halbinsel im Ontariosee und ungef\u00e4hr zwei Autostunden von Toronto entfernt. Mehr zur Insel auf der <a href=\"http:\/\/fahrradinontario.net\/?page_id=1176\">Rund um den Ontariosee Seite<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ich habe zwar bereits einige Touren auf der Insel gemacht, aber es ist dort immer wieder sch\u00f6n. Wenig Autoverkehr, recht flach, und wenn man will, kann man an einem der Str\u00e4nde zum Abk\u00fchlen in den See springen.<\/p>\n<p>Es gibt zwar einige B&#038;Bs und kleine Hotels auf der Insel, aber die sind schnell ausgebucht, und an den langen Wochenenden im Sommer auch recht teuer. Entlang des Highway 401 gibt es aber preisg\u00fcnstige Motels, von wo aus man schnell auf die Insel kommt.<\/p>\n<p>Bei der <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomfieldbicycle.ca\/\">Bloomfield Bicycle Company<\/a> kann man eine gut gemachte Karte mit Fahrradtourvorschl\u00e4gen herunterladen, und wenn n\u00f6tig auch das Fahrrad dazu mieten.<\/p>\n<p>Meine Tour ging vom <a href=\"http:\/\/quinteconservation.ca\/site\/index.php?option=com_content&#038;task=view&#038;id=31&#038;Itemid=45\">Little Bluffs Conservation Area<\/a> bis zum Lake on the Mountain und zur\u00fcck.<\/p>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"map_ol3js_1\" class=\"map undefined\" data-map_name=\"undefined\" data-map=\"map_ol3js_1\" style=\"width:100%; Viele der Inschriften auf den Grabsteinen erz\u00e4hlen Geschichten von den Siedlern im 19.
