Daneben gibt es aber in Nova Scotia noch eine ganze Menge mehr zu entdecken (und zu beradeln).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mit dem Zug von Toronto nach Halifax (1700 km)<\/strong><br \/>\nAber erst einmal muss man sich selbst und die Ausr\u00fcstung an die Ostk\u00fcste schaffen. Es sind zwar &#8222;nur&#8220; 28 Stunden, die man braucht, um von Toronto bis nach Halifax im Zug zu reisen, ein Erlebnis ganz eigener Art bleibt es trotzdem. Zuerst geht es von Toronto nach Montreal und dort steigt man um in den <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viarail.ca\/en\/explore-our-destinations\/trains\/atlantic-canada\/montreal-halifax-ocean\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Ocean<\/a>, der einen \u00e4hnlichen Komfort bietet wie <a href=\"http:\/\/fahrradinontario.net\/?page_id=434\">The Canadian<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1106.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1125.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cabot Trail auf Cape Breton (350 km, 3800 H\u00f6henmeter)<\/strong><br \/>\n <a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kap-Breton-Insel\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cape Breton<\/a> ist eine Insel am der nord\u00f6stlichen Spitze Nova Scotias. Der Kanal zwischen der Insel und dem Festland ist sehr schmal, und daher wurde 1955 ein Damm (Causeway) gebaut, der &#8222;Kanada an Cape Breton&#8220; angeschlossen hat.<\/p>\n<p>Rund um die Insel f\u00fchrt der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cabottrail.travel\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Cabot Trail<\/a>, der als eine der Traumstra\u00dfen der Welt gilt und sich perfekt f\u00fcr eine Fahrradtour eignet. Das Museum \u00fcber sein Leben ist sehenswert. Man lernt, dass Bell noch viele weitere Erfindungen gemacht und an einem Tragfl\u00fcgelboot gearbeitet hat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Von Baddeck geht es erst einmal quer durch die Insel zur Ostk\u00fcste.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1302.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1336.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Am Margaree River und der Ostk\u00fcste entlang bis nach Ch\u00e9ticamp. Das Meer ist hier \u00fcbrigens warm genug f\u00fcr eine kleine Abk\u00fchlung zwischendurch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1344.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1571.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\">Dass Ch\u00e9ticamp eine akadische Stadt ist, wird nur allzu deutlich. \u00dcberall sieht man die akadische Flagge, und selbst Geb\u00e4ude sind mit den Nationalfarben bemalt (franz\u00f6sische Trikolore mit goldenem Stern). \u00dcbernachtungsm\u00f6glichkeiten gibt es viele. Sch\u00f6n sind die Hotels mit den kleinen H\u00fctten. Sie bieten viel Platz und manchmal ist sogar ein Grill mit inbegriffen.<\/p>\n<p>Die <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Akadier\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Akadier<\/a> sind Nachfahren franz\u00f6sischer Auswanderer, die im 17. Jahrhundert den Osten Kanadas besiedelt haben. Dieses Gebiet geh\u00f6rte damals zu Frankreich und hie\u00df <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Akadien\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Akadien<\/a>. Nachdem die Engl\u00e4nder im 18. Jahrhundert Kanada erobert hatten, wurden viele der franz\u00f6sischen Siedler deportiert und Angeh\u00f6rige anderer V\u00f6lker (unter anderem auch aus Deutschland) angelockt. Einige der Akadier gingen in den S\u00fcden nach Louisiania und sind heute als <a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cajun\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cajuns<\/a> bekannt. In Kanada haben sich sogar nach fast 300 Jahren die Gruppen nicht vermischt, und die akadischen Gemeinden pflegen weiterhin ihre eigene Kultur und Gebr\u00e4uche.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1506.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1456.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Whale Watching wird in so ziemlich jedem gr\u00f6\u00dferem Hafen angeboten. Von Ch\u00e9ticamp f\u00e4hrt man mit einem Zodiac etwa 15 Minuten hinaus, um eine Horde Pilotwale (eigentlich Langflossen-Grindwale) zu treffen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1601.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1604.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Nach Ch\u00e9ticamp f\u00e4ngt der (Fahrrad) Spa\u00df so langsam an. Zuerst geht es am Ufer entlang, und man erreicht bald den Eingang des Nationalparks. Die Strecke wird steiler, und die Ausblicke sind atemberaubend. Schlie\u00dflich&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear: right;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Blick \u00fcber die Georgian Bay\" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/FrenchMountain.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"282\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;windet sich die Stra\u00dfe durch das Tal der Grande Anse hinauf auf die Highlands. Oben angekommen sollte man sich die Zeit nehmen und auf den knapp 10 km langen Skyline Trail gehen. Die Ausblicke lohnen die Anstrengung allemal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1646.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1680.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Dass man auf dem Trail ein Moose (amerikanischer Elch) zu Gesicht bekommt, ist schon fast garantiert. Und mit etwas Gl\u00fcck trifft man sogar auf einen B\u00e4ren.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1721.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1743.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Der Highlands Nationalpark ist weitestgehend unber\u00fchrt und hat einiges zu bieten. An der Nordostk\u00fcste gibt Str\u00e4nde und waldbedeckte Berge, die sich in das Meer hineinschieben. Wenn nur das Wetter etwas besser w\u00e4re, k\u00f6nnte Cape Breton glatt Hawaii Konkurrenz machen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1801.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1805.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Alle paar Kilometer gibt es fantastische Ausblicke. Der kleine Fischereihafen White Point liegt etwas abseits des Trails, ist aber den Abstecher wert.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1849.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1877.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.novascotia.com\/see-do\/outdoor-activities\/black-brook-beach-cape-breton-highlands-national-park\/6004\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Black Brook Beach<\/a> bietet herrlichen Sandstrand, warmes Wasser, hohe Wellen und wird eingerahmt von dramatischen Felsen und zwei Fl\u00fcssen, die braunes S\u00fc\u00dfwasser aus den Bergen in die Bucht leiten.<\/p>\n<p>Auf der Ingonish Halbinsel liegt die Keltic Lodge und ein Golfplatz, der als einer der sch\u00f6nsten Kanadas gilt. Man kann hier quasi mittem im Meer Golf spielen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1995.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Schottische Einwanderer haben von 200 Jahren auch ihre Sprache mitgebracht. War sie im 19. Jahrhundert noch stark verbreitet, sprechen heute kaum noch 1000 Menschen das so genannte Kanadisch-G\u00e4lisch. Die g\u00e4lischen Gemeinden auf Cape Breton haben zwei Namen. Einen, den man aussprechen kann, und einen bei dem das nicht so einfach ist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear: both;\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><strong>Halifax<\/strong><br \/>\nHalifax ist eine kleine (370.000 Einwohner) und sympathische Stadt. Alles ist hier viel geruhsamer als in Toronto.<\/p>\n<p>Leider hat es aber genau an dem Wochenende, welches ich zwischen Cape Breton und der n\u00e4chsten Etappe in Halifax verbracht habe, in Str\u00f6men geregnet. Daher ist meine Fotoausbeute eher bescheiden ausgefallen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2585.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2091.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\">Der zentrale Punkt ist die Zitadelle, die auf einem H\u00fcgel \u00fcber der Stadt liegt. Von der Altstadt am Hafen ist es zwar nicht weit, aber ordentlich steil. Der Ausblick macht die Anstrengung aber wieder wett. Jeden Mittag um 12:00 wird auf der Zitadelle eine Kanone abgeschossen, die in der ganzen Stadt deutlich zu h\u00f6ren ist, und ganz sch\u00f6n erschreckend sein kann. Der Besuch der Zitadelle ist allerdings eher etwas f\u00fcr Interessenten der Kriegsgeschichte.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2593.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2606.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Das Maritime Museum of the Atlantic ist vor allem wegen der Ausstellung interessant, die sich mit mit der Explosion von 1917 befasst. 1700 Menschen kamen ums Leben, als bei einer Schiffskollision im Hafen ein Munitionsfrachter explodierte.<\/p>\n<p>Der gro\u00dfe Point Pleasant Park am s\u00fcdlichen Ende der Halifax Halbinsel ist ideal zum Wandern, Joggen, Radfahren usw.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2612.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2107.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Die F\u00e4hre von Halifax nach Dartmouth ist eine g\u00fcnstige Gelegenheit, die Stadt von der Seeseite zu betrachten. September 1998 229 Menschen starben.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Zwischen Halifax und Bridgewater gibt es einen Rail Trail parallel zum Highway 103. Der besteht aus verschiedenen Abschnitten und ist leider nur teilweise in gutem Zustand, so dass er nur bedingt f\u00fcr einige Streckenabschnitte zu empfehlen ist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2322.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2262.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bikeandbean.ca\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Bike &#038; Bean<\/a> ist ein ehemaliger Bahnhof bei Head of St. Margarets Bay. Hier gibt es radlergerechte Verpflegung und Ersatzteile (wenn n\u00f6tig).<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/MahoneBay.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"446\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Die drei Kirchen von Mahone Bay<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2404.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2406.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lunenburg_%28Nova_Scotia%29\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lunenburg<\/a> wurde im 18. Jahrhundert von deutschen, schweizerischen und franz\u00f6sischen Einwanderern gegr\u00fcndet. Die alte Stadtkern ist so gut erhalten, dass er 1995 von der UNESCO als World Heritage Site anerkannt worden ist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2375.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Wie Savannah in Georgia und Philadelphia in Pennsylvania wurde Lunenburg nach dem damals \u00fcblichen Plan f\u00fcr eine Modell Stadt errichtet: sieben nord-s\u00fcd kreuzen neun ost-west Stra\u00dfen. Das  funktioniert vielleicht auf einem flachen Gel\u00e4nde, aber da Lunenburg ein Hafen mit dahinterliegendem H\u00fcgel ist, sind das Resultat sehr steile Stra\u00dfen, die teilweise schwierig zu begehen sind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2381.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"247\" height=\"370\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Die <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blue_Nose\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bluenose<\/a> war ein kanadischer Schoner, der 1921 in Lunenburg zu Wasser gelassen worden ist. Gebaut wurde sie als Fischer- und Rennboot. 17 Jahre lang blieb sie bei der International Fishermen&#8217;s Trophy ungeschlagen. Nachdem Segelschiffe in der Fischerei keine Bedeutung mehr hatten, wurde sie nach Westindien verkauft, wo sie 1946 auf ein Riff lief und sank.<\/p>\n<p>Jeder Kanadier kennt die Blue Nose, denn ihr Konterfei ist auf den kanadischen 10 Cents M\u00fcnzen (Dime) verewigt.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/10Cents.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"149\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP2383.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><\/br>Eine Replik, die Bluenose II, wurde 1962 gebaut, geh\u00f6rt heute dem Lunenburg Marine Museum und kann besichtigt werden. Die H\u00f6he der Masten ist wirklich beeindruckend und nur schwer zu fotografieren.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><strong>Kejimkujik<\/strong><br \/>\nDer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pc.gc.ca\/en\/pn-np\/ns\/kejimkujik\">Kejimkujik National Park<\/a> (oder auch Keji, was einfacher zu schreiben und auszusprechen ist), hat zwei Teile. Der eigentliche Park ist im Landesinneren, aber daneben gibt es auch noch den kleineren Kejimujik National Park Seaside an der n\u00f6rdlichen K\u00fcste Nova Scotias. Nat\u00fcrlich sind beide einen Besuch wert.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP0693.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP0893.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><strong>Rund um Digby<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Digby_(Nova_Scotia)\">Digby<\/a> liegt an Nova Scotias nordwestlicher K\u00fcste. Vor dort aus kann man sch\u00f6ne Touren in die Umgebung machen. Ende August findet in Digby die gro\u00dfe <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wharfratrally.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Wharf Rat Rally<\/a> statt, wo sich mehr als 20,000 Motorradfans treffen. Gut&#8230;, nix f\u00fcr uns Fahrradfahrer, darum sollte man seinen Besuch dort m\u00f6glichst so planen, dass er nicht gerade zu selben Zeit ist.<\/p>\n<p>Westlich von Digby liegen um die St. Mary&#8217;s Bay die Inseln Long Island und Brier Island. Auf sie kommt man mit kleinen F\u00e4hren, und der Besuch lohnt sich.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP0993.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1016.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Die gro\u00dfe Attraktion auf Long Island ist der Balancing Rock, der so aussieht, als w\u00fcrde er jeden Moment umfallen, es aber bereits seit ein paar tausend Jahren nicht gemacht hat. Nicht nur der Felsen selbst, sondern auch der kurze Trail von der Stra\u00dfe zur K\u00fcste sind sehenswert, und man kann einige Zeit damit verbringen, einfach nur den Wellen zu zuschauen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1167.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"wp-content\/Bilder\/NovaScotia\/IMGP1204.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Auf Brier Island und auch bei Digby kann man Seehunde beobachten.
