Was liegt n\u00e4her, als dies alles miteinander zu verbinden. Daraus sind gro\u00dfe Parks entstanden, in denen die Werke nicht in einem engen Museum, sondern in der offenen Natur ausgestellt sind. Er wurde 1966 von Larry Griffis gegr\u00fcndet und war der erste seiner Art in Nordamerika. Mittlerweile habe mehr als 100 K\u00fcnstler ihr Werke zum Park beigesteuert. Fite verwandelte einen Steinbruch in eine riesige Skulptur mit Rampen, Plattformen und Teichen indem er einfach nur Steine ohne M\u00f6rtel oder Beton \u00fcbereinander legte. Er veranschlagte eine Bauzeit von 40 Jahren, daher kommt der Name.
