{"id":1033,"date":"2009-01-02T20:18:46","date_gmt":"2009-01-03T01:18:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/wordpress\/?page_id=1033"},"modified":"2016-01-10T16:08:34","modified_gmt":"2016-01-10T21:08:34","slug":"montreal","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/fahrradinontario.net\/?page_id=1033","title":{"rendered":"Montreal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Die Fahrt von Toronto nach Montreal und zur\u00fcck mache ich in der Regel mit den Zug, denn vier Stunden im Zug sind immer noch besser als f\u00fcnf bis sechs Stunden im Auto (klar, der Flieger schafft&#8217;s in gerade mal 45 Minuten).<\/p>\n<p>Leider hat es genau bei meinem ersten Besuch in Montr\u00e9al geregnet. Das hat mich zwar nicht von meinem Rundgang abgehalten, aber entsprechend traurig schauen die Bilder aus. Bei so einem Wetter lernt man \u00fcbrigens die Vorteile eines laminierten Stadtplans zu sch\u00e4tzen. Montreal hat \u00fcbrigens au\u00dfer Regen im Sommer, auch noch jede Menge Schnee im Winter zu bieten.<\/p>\n<p>Auch wenn Montreal das Zentrum der franz\u00f6sisch sprechenden Provinz Quebec ist, wird hier \u00fcberall auch Englisch gesprochen, so dass man ohne franz\u00f6sische Sprachkenntnisse zurechtkommt. Es gibt eine U-Bahn, mit der man sich bequem in der Stadt bewegen kann. Wenn es \u00fcbrigens eine Top Ten der lautesten U-Bahnen der Welt gibt, liegt die von Montreal garantiert auf den ersten Pl\u00e4tzen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:right\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear: left;\">Die McGill Universit\u00e4t ist eine der renommiertesten Lehranstalten Kanadas und liegt am Fusse des Mont Royal, einem H\u00fcgel im Zentrum der Stadt, dem sie den Namen verdankt.  Von oben hat man einen guten Ausblick \u00fcber die Stadt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:right\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear: left;\">Auf der anderen Seite des Mont Royal gibt es zwei sch\u00f6n gelegene Friedh\u00f6fe, der eine katholisch und der andere protestantisch. Auch wenn sie landschaftlich ineinander \u00fcber gehen, gibt es eine strikte Trennung. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"float: right\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal06.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear: left\">Nicht weit von den Friedh\u00f6fen liegt das Oratoire Saint Joseph. Sie ist das Ziel zahlreicher Pilger, die auf den Knien die 300 Stufen zum Eingang bew\u00e4ltigen (und das bei jedem Wetter).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:right\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal07.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal08.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"float: right\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Vieux-Montr\u00e9al hat viele renovierte Geb\u00e4ude aus dem 18. Jahrhundert und erinnert streckenweise an eine Stadt in Frankreich. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal12.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:right\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal13.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal14.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Rechts ist der Champ de Mars, und der March\u00e9 Bonsecours auf dem linken Bild war einmal Kanadas Parlament.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:right\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal15.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal16.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Die <a href=\"http:\/\/biosphere.ec.gc.ca\/Home-WS3C2E8507-1_En.htm\">Biosphere<\/a> im Park Parc Jean-Drapeau war der amerikanische Pavillon w\u00e4hrend der Weltausstellung 1967.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p style=\"clear:right\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal09.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"clear:right\" title=\" \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/montreal10.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both\">\n<p>Der Tour de Montr\u00e9al im Olympiapark ist der weltweit gr\u00f6\u00dfte schiefe Turm. Mit einer Art Seilbahn kommt man auf die Spitze. An einem regnerischen Wochenende geht das auch ohne langes Anstehen.
